Lendlease has lost its bid to expand its case against an engineering consultant in the lead up to a 20-day trial in proceedings by the Australian National University over flood damage.

A judge has said that a series of cases stemming from a $55 million defects claim over the Port Botany Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre need to be "case managed with an iron fist".
