The owner of the Seasons of Perth Hotel seeks want to quash a review determination of an adjudicator's decision in its dispute with hotel construction company Reward Group over performance bonds for work on the hotel.

Builtcom has lost a challenge to an adjudicator's $8.5 million determination of a final payment claim under a contract with VSD Investments for construction of a 30-storey development in Sydney's inner west.

Hotel construction company Reward Group has secured a win in a dispute with the owners of the Seasons of Perth Hotel over progress payment claims, with a judge finding an adjudicator did not err in ordering the release of performance bonds, but more questions over the release of the bonds remain on foot.

A judge has found Max Twigg must compensate his mother and several family companies after selling bonds traceable to misappropriated funds, saying he and his company “misled the court” by not disclosing the sale.

A lawsuit alleging accounting firm Pitcher Partners was involved in race car driver Max Twigg’s misappropriation of $127 million from his family has settled for $25 million plus costs.
